Ban Ki-moon has not done himself any credit and lost the confidence of the people of our country by becoming an instrument of the ‘new colonials’ who, in this instance, are seeking to please the Tamil diaspora. Ban has used his office and position to further his career by appointing three persons who were known to be hostile towards our country to a Panel (calling them ‘experts’ – experts in what may I ask?) to prepare a report to be used against this country. This is indeed a most despicable act. He MUST be replaced with an able independent diplomat from our part of Asia —— perhaps Ambassador Tommy Koh of Singapore. If he is reluctant then let us ask that government or Malaysia to nominate another able diplomat.

The Moon report is the first short step of the West before taking a giant leap towards maneuvering a regime-change. The US ambassador invited the local NGO’s hostile to the government for a discussion along with other diplomats whose thinking could probably be supportive of the Moon report, before the ‘prime hater of Sri Lanka’ advocate Robert Blake arrives to place the blue print of project “Exit Rajapakse” into operation. (?)

That the UNP handed over the Moon report for the consideration of Bradman Weerakoon, their former international affairs expert, known for his alignment to the West and has handled many transactions for the UNP in dealing with the LTTE, is indeed significant.
