  Every one cannot forgive his enemy. Great people who have great values and character are the only persons able to forgive their enemies.

  Priyanka was able to forgive and forget Nalini Sriharan and the others because of great values taught to her by Sonia Gandhi.

  God bless you Priyanka and your mother. May the peace you have now achieved spread to the region.

  If this is not a political move (for any reason which I cannot think of) it issomething we all need to welcome. I am happy to see that this is a good start to heal the wounds of the past, which both sides (Tamils against IPKF and Indians against LTTE) have.

  I know some of our tamil brothers and sisters will never forgive them. For the good of our future generations we should try to do that.

  The Tamil areas in the North and East are having birth pangs for peace. It is a self evident truth that India plays a very important role in bringing about peace with justice in Sri Lanka. I am happy to see the way a new generation of people thinking differetly in their lives. It demands real spiritual strengh to forgive and to forget and to act as if nothing has happened. Let this historic visit be a stepping stone in bringing out peace and reconciliation to Sri Lanka.

  It’s about time, India revisit her policies towards Eelam Tamils and LTTE in particular. Scores of Tamils and LTTE members were killed due to India’s unwarranted actions, which resulted in loss of one of India’s leaders. As

  India should support Tamil’s cause unequivocally.

  ….So, why did Priyanka want to meet Nalini? Priyanka clarified to Nalini that she was not sent by anyone, and that the decision to meet Nalini was her own.

  …Nalini has told her lawyers that Priyanka came in a green sari, and she was “very simple and loveable”. “Both of us were happy about the meeting,” she told her lawyers.

  The Hindians and their boot-lickers…the likes of Karunanidhi and fat JJ, seem to think that it is ok and justified to kill more and more Tamils, in revenge or retribution for Rajiv Gandhi’s killing! The Tamil race is steadily being wiped out of the island.
  Rajiv Gandhi life is not equal to that of 70,000 Tamils. Priyanka, while you may say that your father was a good man, it is more for others to judge and say if he was! After Indira died, it was the same Rajiv, who said:” When a Big Tree Falls, the Earth is bound to shake”… just after the Congress goons burnt alive some 20,000 Sikhs and raped thousands! It was worse than the anti-Tamil riots of ‘83!
  What about that revelation by the IPKF General who says, he was ordered to kill Prabha during a meeting, by Rajiv Gandhi? It shows how crooked Rajiv really was!
  How many more Tamils have to be killed and sacrificed for the so-called ‘Great’ Rajiv Gandhi! If Hindia really dares, they should go after Prabha and get him, be man enough, instead of wiping out the Tamil race?

  We will never really know whether LTTE leader Vellupillai Pirapakaran ordered Rajive Gandhi’s killing or not. We will never know whether those convicted for his murder were members of the LTTE or not. What is very clear however is the absence of a convincing motive for this murder.

  Soon after the murder, India was awash with very interesting albeit equally far fetched stories that sought to be projected as a motive. If any of them are true then India must be a dangerous police state that is capable of coordinating covert activities that its democratic process and its vibrant media cannot detect even over many years. The recent purported revelation made by Maj Gen Harkirat Singh that he was twice ordered by Rajive Gandhi to kill Pirapakaran falls into this genre. Just what makes it necessary to maintain such an outlandish attempt to project a motive for the killing is a question of some interest.

  Murderers usually expect to gain something from the death of their victims. Just what could Pirapakaran gain by killing Rajive Gandhi? As far as Pirapakaran is concerned he only had to wait patiently for the world to understand the inherent flaws in the nature of the Sri Lankan State and to realize that no government of Sri Lanka could ever make the moves necessary to resolve the islands political crisis without threatening its own hold on power. Murdering Rajive Gandhi would only complicate the issue, threaten the future of Pirapakaran and his outfit and cause untold suffering to the Sri Lankan Tamil Community. This is a scenario that hardly constitutes a motive for Pirapakaran to commit this murder.

  Priyanka Vadra visiting one of those convicted for conspiring to kill her father may help begin a long overdue process of disengagement from a perception of his murder that leaves more questions asked than answers given. This will in turn and with time hopefully serve to turn attention away from the question of the nature and geo-strategic implications of the Sri Lankan Tamil rebellion and re focus global attention on the plight of the Sri Lankan Tamil Community. Perhaps then the moral courage to address the fundamental issues involved will begin to emerge so that these courageous people who continue to demand their rights may yet be saved from total destruction.

  The bitterness of many years was simply overcome by her sweet endeavor of this Ambassador of Peace.

  The vengeance, the deadly deeds and evil intentions of many just dampened by her godly act of love and concern for the enemy. I am yet to meet someone who has not touched by her action.

  Hope this would pave the way for the forgiveness of Indian government, Indians, Tamil brothers and Indian leaders, especially Kalignar Karunanithy and Jeyalalitha amma.

  We simply have to reciprocate her good will. Do we have any such willing soul among Tamils of Sri Lanka?

  When did the LTTE says, yes we did it and we are sorry ?

  We condemn the atrocities of the IPKF yet don’t condemn those which triggered them, the LTTE.

  I recall the mass revulsion of the South, when information reached that our sisters were getting ” squeezed ” in the North by the IPKF soldiers under the guise of ” chackin ” (sic). It was this revulsion that the other fascists JVP were able to tap into and go on to destroy 60,000 of our fellow citizens.

  Its a good lesson to all those who is still trying to dig in to the past mud and trying to do politics on that.
  May those innecent peopl who died on the hands of IPKF to sleep in peace with Rajiv. This may be a time to undertand the fact that there is a reaction to every action. There is no exception to any one including head of state or very nice people (Rajiv may be a nice guy and good father persionaly)
  Some one need to answer to those thousand people who was killed and women who was raped for no reason. All the wrold bodies such as UN and grap was silent because we were a small tiny group of people with no oil or gold. At the time of the incident, the people who was looking for the reason for the tragidy in their life and people looking to make peace with all the violence in thier life chose to take revenge.
  As gandi said, Eye to Eye is not the solution but unfortunatly not every one is Gandi and there are Mahindas and JR Jeyawardanes and v. Pirabaharan are also living among us.
  As Actor Sathiyaraj said, If we say no to Eye to Eye, then we all have to live blind and every one else will be roaming arround with eyes.
  I am not trying justify the killing of Rajiv or undermine Priyanka’s godwill. Most of the the time, We missed to see the full picture and rely on current actions.

  This is a story of a nation strugle and Rajiv and all the sad incidents are part of a black chapter on it.

  I was a emember in the CBI team which investigated the RG assasination.On seeing the fraud inveatigation i informed Journalist Cho Ramaswamy, Arun Shoury. Gk moopanar .In 1997 i went to the press and in 2000 i filed a case in Madras highcourt and then in SC.i contested umpteen no. of elections and highlighted the fradulent investigatin of the CBI.The MDMA which is still investigating the case has said it is having BOX full of evidence to prove that CHADRASWAMY gave amoney yo LTTE PIRABAKARAN to kill RG. IT came in all the NEWS papers. even in jan.14 2008 i was arrested by the madras city ploice for raising this issue in Narendra modies meeting in chennai. INSTEAD ASKING ME ABOUT THE TRUTH OR ASKING THE CBI OR DRKARHTIKEYAN THE FORMER DIREC TIR OF CBI ABOUT THE TRUTH SHAE HAS GONE TO THE ACCUSED AND CONVICT.WHAT A SHAME.   Rajiv Gandhi’s brought IPKF to solve the ethnic problem, he was assassinated by prabakaran for the actions of IPKF soldiers. this shows what a prabagaran is.   The truth may never come out, but there is a huge suspision that Subramaniam Swamy is Behind this killings.

  Swamy demands Priyanka’s prosecution for visiting Vellore jail

  New Delhi, April 17 Contending that Ms Priyanka Vadra’s recent visit to a high-security prison in Vellore to meet the killer of her father Rajiv Gandhi was a criminal offence, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today asked the Tamil Nadu government to prosecute her on the charge of tresspassing.
  ‘’If the Tamil Nadu government fails to do so by May 21, I shall file a private complaint in the court to enforce the police to do its statutory duty,'’ Dr Swamy said in a statement here. He said jail officials had confirmed that Ms Vadra visited the ‘’highly restricted'’ prison housing death row terrorists without getting the requisite permission, which was a criminal offence. Dr Swamy also termed as ‘’bogus'’ the reasons furnished by her for wanting to meet Nalini, who was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court for killing former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at an election meeting in Seriperambudur in Tami Nadu in May 1991. It was later commuted to life imprisonment.

  ‘’…the CBI and SPG know that she (Nalini) was a low level worker who would not know the higher level participants in the conspiracy, but was one who actively participated, without remorse, in carrying out the dastardly assassination of a former prime minister…at the behest of a foreign terorist organisation…'’ he added.

  Ms Vadra had issued a signed statement that her visit to the jail was absolutely personal, and it should be respected. Dr Swamy said Ms Vadra had not disclosed the real reasons for the ‘’one-to-one meeting'’ with Nalini and ‘’all media reports about their dialogue are second hand and third hand versions and pure hearsay.'’ He also said if Ms Vadra wanted to tell the nation the truth about who contracted the LTTE to kill her father, ‘’she can begin by telling the nation about her father’s last phone call from Visakhapatnam to her and the details of the conversations that took place. ‘’She should also investigate who persuaded Mr Gandhi to campaign in Seriperumbudur when even the local Congress candidate did not ask for it, and how his travel schedule became known to Sivarasan and to the LTTE even before the local police was informed of his visit.'’ Dr Swamy said Ms Vadra should also ask her mother Sonia Gandhi why the UPA government had abandoned the demand for extradition of LTTE spremo V Prabhakaran and his lieutenant, Pottu Amman, who are still Accused No 1 and 2 respectively in the trial court chargesheet.

  He said the commutation of Nalini’s death sentence to life imprisonment was ‘’illegally'’ done in 2000 by the NDA government at the Centre and the DMK government in Tamil Nadu by asking the Governor to proclaim it. Only the President of India can grant such pardon under the Constitution.

  ‘’Hence, if any move is made by Ms Vadra to free Nalini from prison for some quid pro quo, I shall file a PIL against the same…'’ he said.

  Nobody can come to a conclusion to say who committed, but all should know there were lot of atrocities in Jaffna from the hands of IPKF. Remember Prambadi villege in Kokuvil area. They raped all women irespective of their ages. The Silk Regement was the worst. What did they do to the muslim women in Jaffna Town? The Silk regement was moved to Palai area where they were out of the sight of the women. What did the Madras Regiment do to the Sinhalese in Trincomalee? There were good commanding officers like Brar at Pandetheruppu camp whom I meet to complain. I met two girls raped at Manipay by the Marathi Regiment consisting of silks. Still the father’s face is flashing. I represented them to Mr Brar and later to the minister the late Mr Athulathmudali. One thing he said , what do you think of the SL Army ? The answer was, now only I am seeing an animal in the army uniform. Un educated , un civilised soldiers, never imagined in my life coming from cultural India. I migrated to Australia on the 5th of October,1988.
  Did Brigadier Birender Singh arrested Prabakaran at Suthumalai and took him to Delhi? How was Prabaharan treated in Delhi by Rajiv. Priyanka if you are honest, go back and study all what is happenning to the tamils by The RAW,The SL armed forces,The militias and the LTTE. Only mother India can solve the problem for both The Sinhalese and The Tamils. All fathers will be the favorites of their daughters. He is a good man, was he advised in the right way ? Was he looking down on Prabakaran because he is a tamil? Was there a “do what I say “? If your grand mother would have been there this problem would have been solved long before. Talk to G.Parthasarathy. Talk to Venugopal who came as a Redcross but was an interligent officer to wipe out the LTTE. Dixit and Romesh Bandari killed top leaders at Palali camp. What a let down. It was like the father raping the daughter. Will the daughter trust anybody ? No. We the Tamils are the same. We can trust the Sinhalese than you. Is it the only way to follow the LTTE ? You yourself come to a concusion. You will be deffinitely accepted in Vanni to find out the truth as far as, which everway your findings are and you are prepared to accept and draw a line and get it out of your mind and go on with your life.   Rajiv killing is bad. LTTE’s worst blunder. But so is the Rajiv guided IPKF murders and rapes in Tamil land. Apart from these, this vist has only certain pre arranged scheme.

  It is RAW again behind this Priyanka visit to Nalini. India is expected to go for parliamentary elections soon. Congress led alliance is going to announce Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate. They are going to market Gandhi label again in a big way since BJP is resolved to put Advani as the PM candidate. It is one way image building and other way checking the pulse of the Tamil terrorism.

  The LTTE is yet to tell the truth about RG’s case.

  Unless & until the LTTE does that the GOSL will (as it does now) ruthlessly exploit the scenario at present; the LTTE leaders will have to spend the rest of their lives in the bunkers in the jungles of Vanni; above all the Tamil civilians will go through hell at the hands of GOSL.

  I urge VP to show courage and end the agony and endless suffering of our people.

  One ofmy friend in CBI says, they couldn’t get Naliny to open her mouth for 10 years and as a last resort, they tried through Priyanka. She just asked the same questions that CBI is asking for last 10 years. The bad thing was the answer was same for both.
  Looks like they forgot one thing which is they are dealing with some one who lived with Ceylon tamil.

  Yes, it is a pre arranged mission. It is not that innocent as it appears. May be Priyanka is innocent. This is since she is not in active politics. But there is every chance that she may be told to do somethnig which may look very normal to her and others. But the Indian government nor the LTTE are innocent. They are drowned in the conspiracies and schemes. What to do we poor civilians have to put up with everything.

  To all those Jaffna fellows including Kurudan who have written a comment…Everyone is blaming the I.P.K.F.Rajiv Gandhi Dixit.But has forgotten to mention the real culprit!
  That is J.R. the former Srilankan president.He Was a Saanakkiyan.He wanted to setupon the Indians against the NorthEast Thamils.And he succeeded handsomely.
  As mentioned by somebody “we trust the Sinhalese,more than the Indians” true enough.
  Then why the hell you all want to flirt with the Indians?

  India and Srilankan are two seperate and soverigh countries.There is a considerable number of Jaffna Thamils who speak ill of Indian Thamils.
  Afterall why worry?Almost all of the well to do Jaffna Thamils have either migrated to greener pastures or to Colombo.Only the Economically weak and those from the not so good caste are compelled to stay back and face the brunt.

  Besides the traditions and customs of the Jaffna Thamils highly differ with that of the Indian Thamils.
  The Jaffna tradition is very much akin to Keralites who are considered arch enemies to the Indian Thamils!
  I think the best think is to patchup with the Sinhalese and live in peace.

  India can do nothing in this regard,other than agravating the problem further.

  Dear Sudalaimadan,
  I agree with your comments. Everyone knows JRJ was cunning, but what happened to the wisdom of the LTTE. The adamant attitude of the LTTE deviated the course of path of the IPKF. When the IPKF came to Sri Lanka (spending several crores of Rupees) everyone in North East Province greeted them by offering young coconuts, fruits, etc. The first two months since the arrival of the IPKF was peaceful. The IPKF consisted of Tamil Nadu and Kerala soldiers and there was cordial relationship and later by the Sikhs. The Kerala Officers, with whom I had the privilege of having contacts, at the Indian High Commission wanted the Tamils to be united. They were not our enemies. Unfortunately there was lack of co-operation from the LTTE. The IPKF came as a disciplined Peach Keeping Force and not as a Fighting Force. The deviation of maintaining peace came to a halt when they were provoked unjustifiably and eventually compelled the IPKH to a Fighting Force, when the battle became a war between the seen and unseen on account of the Guerilla tactics adopted by the LTTE. It was an accepted fact that when the LTTE saw the educated people mending good relationship between the IPKF and the Tamils with language communications, the LTTE adopted a calculated and systematic decimation of those educated people during the EPRLF regime. The LTTE should bear all responsibilities for such consequences. India could have implemented the 13th Amendment in keeping with the Indo-Sri Lanka Peace Accord in its true perspective. It would be a stepping stone towards Federalism. When India came in as a Mediator it had a whipping hand on the defaulting party, but we missed the fine opportunity when the Tamil Organizations were not united. We should be grateful to G.Parthasarathy for the pain he had taken to see that soon after the Indo-Sri Lanka Peace Accord was signed, the Tamil youths who were detained at the Boosa, Welikada and Magazine were all released unconditionally. But I must tell at this hour that some of the innocent youths belonging to the TELO were murdered even in Colombo mysteriously by underworld criminals who were acting on behalf of other organizations (not only LTTE) for various reasons. Space is not enough to such volumes of atrocities on innocent freed youths who wanted to pursue a new life in foreign countries. First we will have to put our house in order. Even after the Naval Rating assaulted Rajiv Gandhi, the love and affection Rajiv Gandhi had towards the Tamils had not diminished. He wanted the Tamils to live with honour and dignity. He wanted to create a constructive society as opposed to destructive society. It is pure ignorance to blame the Indians or the Sinhalese. It is the politicians and the LTTE who wanted to create a division for their survival. The LTTE wanted work for the guns and bombs and not for the pen. Ultimately Rajiv Gandhi fell victim for the cowardly act of the LTTE. When such things had happened, there is nothing wrong for Priyanka to find out the truth.

  Rajiv may be a good father, but not a good leader. Priyanka is a good daughter and may be a good person trying to come in terms with her loss of a loving father.
  But let us not forget that there were thousands of good fathers were killed during the period of IPKF and lots of good daughter suffered and are looking for answers.
  Their grievance is much much higher because they are also poor.

  Thank you Dr.K.C. This is the point. When India had undertaken to settle the Tamil problem, that should have been allowed until the full completion of the implementation of the 13th Amendment for which the LTTE and Premadasa did not allow room for it. Had that been allowed, today the Sinhalese too would have tasted the fruits of federalism with the passage of time. (The fact remains that more than 35% of the Sinhalese voted for Mrs.Dissanayake who wanted the federal solution during the Presidential election against the powerful Chandrika). There is no doubt about it. The truth cannot be hidden for ever. Priyanka would definitely come to know the culprits who had master minded this cowardly act.

  Who knows what would have happened if not for the Thileepan incident and if the IPKF had prevented the SL army from entering the Pallaly base where the LTTE persons were being held?

  Who was giving the orders to ignore Thileepan and for the IPKF to not stop the SL forces at Pallaly?

  Who was JR conspiring with to weaken the LTTE?

  Who was playing double games for their political ambitions?

  -Sudalaimaadan’s comments says JR was the culprit. The Indian forces were getting ready to invade Sri Lanka with the help of the TELO. Their plan was leaked to the LTTE by DIG Unnikrishnan who was the Southern Command Rep for both the RAW and the Freedom fighters based in South India. Unnikrishnan turned to be a double agent due to his weaknesses. He was relaying information to the SL government too. So JR who was pushed to the brink to invite the Indian forces as a peacekeeping force rather than an invading force. There were lot of opposition from the cabinet including M.Rajapakse who marched on Galle Road. JR is a cunning politician. He was smart here.Without any preplanned moves all worked in his favour,which made the LTTE fight the IPKF. Very carefully look here, If JR had not done it and the plan of invasion by the Indian Army was carried out , the Sikh and the maratti regiment would have been installed in the north and east and the madras regiment in the south. The plan was to take over Galle port,Colombo,Kandy,Trinco,Batti and Jaffna by bombing and then reinforcements. Wiping the LTTE and give the power to the TELO and all others under the control of their command. To satisfy the South Indian Tamils the Madras regiment would have been given an open licence to rape and destroy the south and have a puppet administration in the north. JR had the class like Bandaranaike. But tough cunning politician.He made a remark to Rajeev , not to tell him what to do and to go home and look at the photo in which he is sitting behind Nehru. Now you decide whether JR’s move was to safe one Sri Lanka or not ?? He was worried of human rights too.I agree that it is better to live with the Sinhalese.

  India trained LTTE,PLOTE,TELO,EPRLF and the EROS in Uttar Pradesh. LTTE and the PLOTE walked out after they came to know the RAW plan.PLOTE got the training in Lebanon with the PLA of Dr George Habas.The LTTE was later built up by MGR.All groups are the same in killings,but the LTTE maintained the discipline eccept elimination of some good leaders.
  The Punjabi’s are the best protecting the border with India. The Hindi speaking Indians have forgiven them.
  Why not the LTTE ?? They will be best to protect us from any Indian invasion. Give them the north and east and settle. Let the Tamils decide the fate of the LTTE in a united Lanka.

  It is the LTTE who are responsible of more than 80.000 innpcent lives ( whether its Tamils, Sinhalese, Muslims or any other )
  LTTE has killed more Tamils than any other nationality.
  What did Muslims do to LTTE to butchered & killed 148 innocent Muslims who were praying in a mosque in the east of Sri Lanka ?
  What happened to the Muslims & Sinhalese who were living in north of Sri lanka ?
  Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims & others are still living as friends in Srilanka ( Except in North )
  Lets support to wipe out the LTTE terrorism.
