“Key concerns of the Tamil people and ways of addressing their grievances were discussed at length.”

We presume, Tamil grievances have arisen from their aspirations. GTF has been making it clear since its formation. And we've heard what Emmanuel, the chief of GTF read from pulpits of catholic churches in Jaffna when he was the vicar. His medicine to cure Tamil grievances is nothing but Eelam.

We are not amused of Blake’s discussions and speeches either. Double standards of Robert Blake and his hierarchies at the pentagon were clear as black and white.

Let’s start to pin point the US hypocrisy like this: Anglo-French-American consortium named both Al Quada and LTTE as terrorists. They said LTTE is the most dedicated and fearsome terrorist organization in the world.

The US started fighting Al Quada in 90s and Sri Lanka started fighting LTTE long before that. Both aimed to rid the terrorists. Today, the LTTE is finished but Al Quada is very much alive.

Should not Anglo-French-American consortium explore, why? I'll tell them why.

But first, I must say this; when LTTE was about to be vanquished in 2009, Anglo-French-American consortium were not happy. So much so, it asked Sri Lanka government to let LTTE leader Pirapaharan surrender to a third party. They should have asked themselves; would they allow anyone to offer Bin Laden the same privilege? No.

But the US wanted to preserve terrorism on one hand and destroy it in another. Got the answer. Double standard; that is why the US cannot defeat Al Quada.

More duplicity; since 2009, not a single bomb exploded in Sri Lanka. People roam about freely across the full length and breadth of the country. People are so happy, they cast their vote in favor of the government at all elections held since.

But, Anglo-French-American consortium was not happy. They continued to urge their cohorts to gang up against the government and accuse it for 'war crimes' against civilians. But they were nowhere to be seen when LTTE were on killing spree.

In a war crime investigation GTF should be made to represent LTTE and accept the responsibilities thereof.

Sri Lankan Tamils resident in Sri Lanka will need to determine their future. The Global Tamil Forum based in the west can not determine the fates of the Sri Lankan Tamils. The war has ended and the LTTE has been defeated. The only future is to live with the Sinhalese and not continue to harp on the differences. The current political environment in Sri Lanka is not supportive of agitation and ethnicity based demands. Its time to lie low, be constructive and work on our economic livelihood. The Global Tamil Forum is irrelevant in that review, at least in my view. We need to have leaders based in Jaffna and Trincomalee, not in Germany or London. Further, the ability of the west to intervene in the affairs of other countries is limited. Libya is a case in point. Burma is another. I therefore do not understand what the Global Tamil Forum attempts to do by lobbying the US. Nothing will be achieved. Lobby Colombo instead.

Leela, you seems to have not come out of your shell yet. These are facts open for discussions. International communities are not finding falt with only Sri Lankan government for all the killings that took place towards the end of Eellam war in Wanni front. They are accusing the Tigers as well. So don't your think having a full investigation of what happened during that time is the best for our country and to clear any doubts in the mind of the people that we have not done any wrong there. This way we could prove that we did not do anything wrong or violated the international human right. If we can not be honest and free then others will thing that some thing we have done and trying to hide. So all the dispora groups in west and europe are taking this in to their advantage to point the finger at our government. That's why we have to be open and accountable to the people and the international communities to clear our name.
